With the upsurge in new COVID-19 cases in Los Angeles County, many of our patients wonder if it's safe to seek medical care for routine needs, or if they should postpone evaluations and treatments for less-than-urgent matters.
While each individual patient's risk factors should be carefully evaluated with their primary care physician, we want our patients to rest assured that we are still seeing patients, and employing every precaution for their safety. Symptoms, healing, and pain can't be postponed, and neither should proper care. Unless serious underlying conditions suggest otherwise, patients should continue to seek the orthopedic treatment they need, including evaluations, therapies, surgeries, and follow-up visits.
At Pasadena Orthopedics, we're committed to preserving your health and reducing your risk of exposure to disease. We're taking numerous measures to reduce the risk of exposure as much as possible. Our office is spacious and open, reducing the proximity of any two individuals. Every exam room is thoroughly cleaned after every patient. We escort patients into exam rooms as quickly as possible after arrival at our office. All staff members wear masks, and we ask that all patients coming into our office also wear masks. Unfortunately, we will not be able to see you if you are not wearing a mask.
In these unusual times, any patients suspecting they might be exhibiting any symptom of COVID-19 shouldn't hesitate to ask to reschedule, even on very short notice. We will politely and expeditiously reschedule your appointment.
We'll remain vigilant so long as pandemic conditions warrant it, and we'll remain available to provide the very best of individualized orthopedic care now, and long after the realities of this pandemic have faded from everyday life.
